While students are training, they have the opportunity to audition for shows, print, video productions, theatre and commercials/ film.

At Angie’s Models we feel each teen girl is special. Within each of us is a sparkle and at Angie’s, we try to enhance each of our model’s personalities by helping them develop their inner self.

Angie’s 14-week program will prepare the teen for the many challenging opportunities in the modeling world as well as polish her own unique self. The class meets on Saturdays at 11:00 am.

Angie’s teen fashion workshops are designed to help the students realize their full potential. Our modeling workshops have much to offer and includes, among other things, fashion show choreography, runway modeling, make-up application, skin care, movement for the camera, as well as on camera auditioning techniques for TV commercials!

By participating in our television commercial program, students will learn from experienced actors. At Angie’s we offer workshops that include performance and delivery techniques, improvisation, character development, monologues, and on-camera technique.

Angie’s will aid you during your photo shoot to insure the best possible looks for you. Angie’s brings in top fashion photographers, stylists, make up artists at various times during the season. Angie will recommend which photographer would be best suited to test with.

The workshops we offer at Angie’s are limited to only a small number, as we prefer to give our students the individual attention they may not be able to get in a larger forum.

Once a student’s training is successfully completed with Angie’s, they may take part in our Model Showcase, held in May, where they have the opportunity to be seen by international agents, casting directors, independent film directors, producers, advertising agencies, photographers, etc. Over 300 guests and over 50 VIP’s attend our Showcase.

The On Camera Workshops are for those wishing to get into the acting field, as well as, those who take it for increased confidence and public speaking skills. The programs include topics such as: Auditioning techniques…scene analysis and preparation…playing the scene…commercials…on camera work…warm-up techniques…improv games and exercises…story board strategies…TV and film terminology… and more!

Workshop Objectives

* Integrating acting fundamentals and with the technique and rules of commercial camera to form a creative, productive performer.
* Challenging the students to extend and enhance their acting abilities in the many different performing media
* Educating and helping market the most professional, versatile actors for the local as well as international markets
* Encouraging the student to become more creative and learn acting as a business
* Developing confidence, self-esteem and awareness that creates poise and allows the child to display his or her natural charm! On & Off Camera!

They may take part in our Talent Showcase, held in May, where they have the opportunity to be seen by international agents, casting directors, independent film directors, producers, advertising agencies, photographers, etc. Over 300 guests and over 50 VIP’s attend our Showcase.

Once your child completes their On Camera Workshops he or she will then become a member of our agency. We then will begin submitting your child for print work, television commercials and fashion shows. We have launched many national careers for children. Maybe your child will be our next superstar!

A male model needs a great lean body, strong portfolio book filled with great pictures in a variety of looks, composite cards, a great personality/attitude and the time to travel.

The male modeling industry in Toronto, Montreal & Ottawa centers around the catalogue and television commercial fields, although there are some magazine opportunities. Internationally, Angie’s Models Inc., places male models with the strongest men’s agencies in the world, including in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Miami, L.A., London, Milan, Hamburg and more.

Angie’s Kids has a strong roster of kids who are self-confident, outgoing and personable, and it is these qualities that help make the agency so successful. As with Angie’s Models, the agency works closely with parents and kids to form a relationship based upon trust and a good knowledge of the industry. Supportive parents who understand the need to balance the business and their child’s happiness is something of great importance to us. Modeling and acting for children extends to as many markets as it does for the adults. The opportunities are many!

Some of the areas Angie’s Kids work in are catalogue, print and television.

Catalogue models appear in flyers, special booklets and catalogues and these children earn from $55 to $85 per hour. These bookings are based mainly on the kids’ sizes. The children are usually booked for their “look” rather than their size. These photos may be used in many different venues, such is billboards, posters or toy packaging, and models earn $85 per hour plus a usage fee if applicable. Lastly, television modeling includes TV commercials, series, movies and music videos, and kids are hired based on their look and their talent! Rates for these jobs are negotiated through the actor’s union ACTRA.

Angie’s Kids encourages parents to help kids become involved in activities and any training, which will promote self-confidence. With the dedication, enthusiasm and support of those around them, children can develop into outstanding individuals with successes both inside and outside the industry.
