Devin Books “Victor Davis” TV Mini-Series

Congratulations to Devin Delorme, 11 yrs old for booking the Mini TV Series! Devin is very excited to be appearing as young “Victor” in the CBC TV Mini Series about Victor Davis. Davis was a Canadian Olympic swimmer who was tragically killed at the age of 25 in a hit and run accident in Montreal in 1984. The movie shoot will take place in Toronto and will appear on CBC.

Alexander Comeau The Voice of the Zimmer Twins!

It was a little over year ago that Alexander J. Comeau got his first audition and his first booking, the French voice of Edgar Zimmer on Télétoon’s Jumeaux Zimmer. During the first season he recorded 30 of the award nominated interactive television clips. He is the only teen on the cast and is very appreciated by the production team. After a year of success, they called him back for season number 2 and double the clips. He had great time in Toronto yesterday and will return in the fall and the New Year for studio recording days. Listen for the new season in the fall and in the meantime play ‘Psychic Stunt Wagon’ in English or in French and listen for Alex when Edgar bumps into things.

Congratulations to Maxime M. 6 yrs old from Long Sault for booking an actor role in the French Drama series Pointes-aux-chimeres.

Maxime will be in three of five one hour episodes that will air in January on TFO. In his reoccurring role as young Martin he witnesses an incident that he keeps to himself until later in life. Maxime enjoyed his time on the set in June and July.

He resembles a young Macaulay Culkin and has been described by one director as the “next Harry Potter.”

At just five years old, Long Sault resident Maxime Marcil is set to make his small screen debut after landing a part on the Canadian sitcom Naked Josh.

He’ll be heading to Montreal today for a wardrobe fitting and will return Friday to begin shooting his part, in which he plays a deaf boy who can only communicate through sign language. Maxime’s road to success began this summer when both he and his sister, Daniella, 10, were “scouted” by an Ottawa talent agency-Angie’s Models & Talent Inc.

Then the call came last week for the show, and Maxime secured his first acting job with a successful audition a day later.

He’ll have his own trailer with a personalized star on the set, and he’s now an “apprentice” working towards full member status in a Canadian actors’ union.

For parents Paul and Brigitte, the good news has yet to fully sink in.

“It’s happening pretty fast,” said Paul.

Brigitte said Maxime and Daniella, who are both currently enrolled in acting classes, have long taken an interest in acting.

The siblings would often make up their own plays and shows in the basement and then invite their parents down to watch, Brigitte said.

Maxime, who’s attending kindergarten at Ecole catholique Notre-Dame in Cornwall, has always been an attention-getter, added Brigitte.

“He’s a natural in front of the camera,” she said. “He’s always been a little performer.”

Brigitte said, thanks to the their jobs — she is an educational assistant and Paul works at Domtar — they are able to accommodate Maxime’s blossoming acting schedule.

As for the future, the couple isn’t sure just what to expect, but they know landing a television role at such a young age is a pretty good start.

“You never know, this could lead to something else,” said Brigitte.

Naked Josh, a show about a sex professor who has trouble with his own sex life, runs on Showcase (Channel 39 on Cogeco cable) Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
